On Wednesday I watched two learning movies.
One movie was about marsupials and the other was about wolves.
I learned that on an island there is a whole lot of koalas but not that many trees.
I think that koalas need more trees. The movie about wolves talked about endangered species of wolves, and how to prevent them from becoming extinct. Some people organized fenced habitats for the wolves to live in, and breeded them. When they had enough wolves, they would free them to live in the wild and replenish. That way, hopefully, they would grow, and cease to be endangered. There are a few ways that this could be improved. First, some of the wolves are not given enough space. This makes them tense and easily excited. It also makes them less active, being that there isn't much room for them to run around. Some of them may lack medical care. Once again, this has to do with their tight space. It is easier to spread a contagious disease when stuffed together in small, caged areas. Organizations are striving to improve their work. Surprisingly enough, some people don't want wolf populations to grow. The most common of these people are farmers or shepherds. Each animal gives them a certain amount of money with their eggs, milk, meat, et cetera. When a wolf eats one of their animals, it's like someone robbing their bank, but the people who whould normally be trying to help find the robber are instead supporting the growth of wolf populations. It's very hard to keep a hungry wolf away from food. The question rings in our minds: "What should we do?" Yet this simple question doesn't have such a simple answer.
