Today we watched a movie about where our stuff comes from and where it goes.
I learned that some things are made to break so you buy a new one.
I think if you really want people to trust the things you sell they should be good quality.

Today I did some drama.
I did some mimes with my friends.
To mime you act without talking.
When you mime you exaggerate, when you act a little bit sad you weep. When you act happy you jump for joy, and when you act tired you yawn.
Mime is hard because if you do it wrong, things can look wrong.
But that's the fun of it!

On Wednesday I sewed a robe for my doll, Kaya.
I sewed it out of a towel.
I learned that towel fabric is hard to sew.
I learned that when your needle is half way through the fabric you put the bottom of the needle on the table and push the fabric down.
I prefer sewing with felt.

Today I made a calendar out of a sketch book. Mum also read The Story Of The World.
We read about Span. The king of Span died and nobody knew who should be king! The sons of the king thought THEY should be king, and some of the people of Span thought that a guy named Rodrigo should be king. So Rodrigo was king.
The sons were ANGRY so they asked Tariq Bin Ziyad (a grate fighter) to bring his army and help drive
Rodrigo out of the land of Span. Tariq Bin Ziyad didn't only fight Rodrigo but take over the land.
I think
that the sons of the dead king should of got to be king.

Today we painted pictures. Mum read from The Story Of The World.
We learned about France. There were 4 tribes of people. The Romans, the Franks, the Allemani, and the Burgundians. They weren't very peaceful and fought a lot. Then in the Frankish empire Clovis was king. He married a Burgundians princess and fought the Romans and the Allemani.
I think you shouldn't fight to win land even if you want it.

Today we went to the library I got a book out called The Story Of Noodles.
In the story 3 boys are tied of having rice for dinner. Their mother is gonna make dumplings for a contest but while they are making them there pig escaped! The boys stayed inside while there father and mother looked at the pig. The boys brake the table by mistake but create noodles in the doing! What will happen? Will there mother get angry or pleased? find out in The Story Of Noodles.
I think that the part of the story were noodles are made is correct but it happened differently.

Today I did lots of mending.
We learned about the nomads in Australia. They say they had lived there since the beginning of time. They would eat things from kangaroo meat to cooked moss. Boys would go hunting around the age of 7. They would mix ash and mud together and put it on them selves so they wouldn't smell like humans. They would then go in to a forest to find the kangaroos and then they would dig a deep pit. The nomads would cover the trap with sticks and put the best leaves on the top to make the kangaroo go on the trap. Then they go to the bushes to wait for hours until a kangaroo comes. He then falls in to the trap and the nomads would have fresh meat.
I think I wouldn't like to eat kangaroo meat.

Today I made a shirt for Eky, my doll.
Mum read from Story Of The World and we learned about Japan.
Japan was once many, many little clans or families. But then a clan called Yamato got all of Japan. They made a dynasty thats still is around today!
I think the Yamato dynasty lasted much longer than the Yangdi. (see upper blog)

Today we read from The Story Of The world.
I also finished a dress I was sewing. It was for my doll, sheh.
I learned about the Sui dynasty in China. China was divided in to two parts, south China and north China. Then a man named Yang Chien wanted China to be one empire and so he started the Sui dynsty. But there are to rivers in China the Yellow river and the Yangtze river. these rivers stopped the north from seeing the south! So the emperor was gonna build a canal named the Grand Canal. It was hard to build this canal and the emperor needed money so he made people pay tax ten years advance! he also made men from the age 15 to 50 work on the canal with no pay. when the Grand Canal was finally done the emperor wanted to celebrate by bringing his family and court on to the Grand Canal in bouts and it took 62 bouts! Then the emperor, Yangdi didn't want to row so he made 80,000 men to pull! That was the last straw the people of China rebelled against Yangdi and killed him!
I think that when Yangdi was on the bout he should of hired some one to row!
